Saratovsky Refinery PJSC joined Rosneft in March 2013.
The construction of the plant was completed in 1934. For labor feat in the years of the Great Patriotic War the enterprise was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and the Banner of the State Defense Committee of the USSR was handed over to it for permanent storage.
The designed capacity of the Saratov Oil Refinery is 7.0 million tons of oil per year.
The Saratov Refinery processes Urals crude oil and Saratovskoye field crude oil from the pipeline, as well as crude oil from the Orenburg fields shipped by rail.
All motor fuels produced by the plant comply with the environmental class K5.
Products are shipped mainly by rail, and also by water and road.
In 2013, the Saratov Refinery commissioned an Isomerisation Unit for the Pentane-Hexane Fraction with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year, and carried out extensive work to repair and reconstruct the ELOU-AVT-6 unit, bringing its annual capacity to 7.0 million tonnes of crude (oil) and the Visbreaking Unit for Vacuum Residue, increasing its annual capacity to 1.0 million tons of raw materials.
In 2014, a short cycle adsorption unit for hydrogen was commissioned.
From 2015 to 2018, several major investment projects were implemented at the Saratov Oil Refinery:
At the beginning of 2019, work was completed on the development of the expanded basic design of the vacuum gasoil hydro conversion complex.
The Saratov Refinery organized the production of motor gasoline with improved environmental and operational properties of AI-95-K5 Euro-6 according to STO 44905015-006-2017 in order to supply consumers in the regions of Russia.
