Orenburgneft (a subsidiary of Rosneft), continues to improve the scientific and educational framework of schools, colleges and universities in the Orenburg region.

As part of the Rosneft 2030 Strategy, the Company and its subsidiaries support government initiatives aimed at developing the country’s education system and human resources potential.

The Orenburg State University acquired new equipment with the support of Orenburgneft. The small-size mobile drilling outfit will be used for practical training of students of the Department of Geology, Geodesy and Cadastre. The drilling outfit is designed to reproduce real drilling conditions and allows to form and improve the professional competencies of future engineers. Thanks to the project, every year more than 60 students will be able not only to visually study the basics of drilling operations, but also to try themselves in the role of a drilling outfit operator at engineering and geological training practices.

Nowadays, more than 70% of specialists in the Orenburgneft team are graduates of the company’s partner universities. Development of the educational institutions’ material and technical base, corporate scholarships for the best students and grants for teachers to organize research and development work create favorable conditions for training highly qualified specialists.

The participation of Orenburgneft as an industrial partner in the framework of the federal project “Professionalism” resulted in the creation of an educational and production center on the basis of Buguruslan Oil College. The main task of the center is to develop human resources potential and form an effective system of personnel training for the oil industry, taking into account the current and future needs for specialists of the enterprises of the Orenburg and Samara regions.

In addition, the enterprise has a corporate system of continuous education “School — college/university — enterprise”, which ensures a constant inflow of young specialists with a high level of training into the team. The formation of personnel potential starts with Rosneft Classes, which operate on the basis of three schools in the Orenburg region. Over the last eleven years, 587 students have graduated from the specialized classes and continued their education in the country’s leading universities, of which about 70% entered universities and colleges for the Company’s specialties.
